Product promise

“We all need a little control right? Beard Control delivers a deliciously light hold while giving you the best of both worlds: a natural look with just a smidgen of definition.”

What is Billy Jealousy Beard Control?

This product is a so called leave in conditioner. This means you smear it into the beard, make the finish and when you wash the beard the effect is gone.

Check of ingredients

Billy Jealousy Beard Control list of ingredients
Billy Jealousy Beard Control list of ingredients

Billy Jealousy Beard Control is made with some key ingredients.

  • Aloe Leaf Juice: Softens and hydrates beard and skin
  • PVP: Styling agent, helps hold hair in place
  • Jojoba Seed Oil: Stimulates, conditions & shines
  • Panthenol: Provitamin conditioner

On first sight – sounds nice. But there are also a couple of questionable ingredients:

  • Dimethicone (Silicone, plastic)
  • PVP (Polyvinylpyrrolidon, plastic )
  • PEG/PPG-14/4 Dimethicone (plastic)
  • Cyclopentasiloxane (Silikon – plastic, suspected to cause infertilit)
  • Cyclohexasiloxane (Silikon – plastic)

A lot of plastic! And some of these substances are suspected to cause body disfunctions – honestly, I don’t want that in my beard. And I can’t imagine this is healthy for hair and body on a longtime usage! The huge number of questionable ingredients gives it -2 in the rating.

The complete list of ingredients:

The Bottle is solid, well made and stands upside down. So Billy Jealousy Beard Control can easily be removed.

It’s easy to use this conditioner. Work a small amount into palms and rub hands together. Apply into beard and brush/comb through to evenly distribute product.

Then I use my round comb and a blowdryer to get the beard in shape. This aspect was very very good and the product delivers what it promises.

The result is pretty nice. The hair gets good hold and stays in shape even after a couple of hours.

Compared to other conditioner products, it’s a fair price I would say.

  1. It s just insane that so many beard products are good and at the same time so unhealthy to use it. Thanks Matthias for the research! It is very interesting to read your blog!

  2. Well – they are not necessarily unhealthy, but they are wasting the sea and get into your food – and then it gets unhealthy 🙂
